More About Me

  • Welcome to The Daily Grill! I'm your host, Marc Hershon. This collection of humorous observations and topical phodoodles has been updated almost every day since 2004 when this blog started. It's strictly a hobby, as I spend most of my day writing, cartooning and naming things. For more about all that, click here.

Oh goody. Do you mind if I report a jerk on your post? I'm a Realtor, and according to our Code of Ethics, we're not allowed to say anything bad about other Realtors. I understand the reasoning behind this... it's so the dishonest ones can't spread lies amongst the public, in order to gain business. But it sucks when it's not a lie, and you can't tell anyone! Sooo, since nobody knows me here =D I'll just post a comment that was left on my real estate blog, by Realtor Scott VanBuskirk (Prudential GHP)
Office Phone (360) 289-3373
Cell Phone 360) 581-5300
Fax (360) 289-2825
Address: 837 Point Brown Ave. NW, Ocean Shores, Wa., 98569

Wasn't that nice of him to leave all his personal information out there for the world to see?

As for his comment, I'll preface this by stating that this was left on a blog post about ethics, and about respecting each others' blog space when we leave comments. That being said, here's the lovely comment he left me... "Oh wa wa wa. somebody used your blog. Get over it you are a piece of work."

And if you mind me leaving this comment, I'm sorry! I certainly don't want to do the very thing I blogged about!

Sorry to hear about your jerk(s) encounter. I had one myself today -- and it's X-mas Eve! The driver (an older white male with gray/balding hair) repeatedly honked his car horn behind me while his passenger (possibly son/grandson with short brownish hair) flipped me off with both hands when I did not proceed fast enough thru a busy intersection with malfunctioning (flashing red) traffic lights. The car in question (a dark colored Lexus ES330) is registered in Comal County, TX (sticker # 55122663) and has handicap tags (1BVKY). Two jerks in one car! Merry Christmas to all!!!

Hot Blogs On A Roll

  • My Dog Ate My Blog
My Dog Ate My Blog is the creation of editors, writers, and marketers in the education industry looking for an outlet for their general immaturity. We drink diet coke out of red keg cups. We blast obscure hipster bands at all hours. We stock the fridge with frozen pizza. We write this blog.

  • I'm Your Genius
In the words of ex-Genius (and still friend) Tony Edwards: "When I worked for Apple as a Mac Genius, providing tech support at the Genius Bar, people would often ask me, “Do you make house calls?” As an Apple employee, I wasn’t allowed to help anyone outside of work. Now, after years of working for one of the the best companies in the world, fixing Macs and helping hundreds of customers, I now provide personal support to people like you."

  • Will Durst's Year 2008 - Durst Case Scenario
Will Durst's identity crisis is not helped by the media. The L.A. Times calls him, "A modern day Will Rogers." The S. F. Examiner argues he's "the heir apparent to Mort Sahl and Dick Gregory." The Chicago Tribune hails Durst as a "hysterical hybrid of Hunter Thompson and Charles Osgood", but all agree he is America's premier political comic.
    "Some thoughts are escaping me."

Daily Mael is written by a native of the San Fernando Valley (West of Los Angeles and home to many illegal immigrants) whom enjoys blogging when he's home from work or when he's not particpating in a fantasy sports league. "My team's name for the past 7 seasons has been I Need A Dog."
