A federal judge has ordered Exxon Mobil Corp. to pay damages to more than 10,000 gas station owners for overcharging on gasoline for more than a decade. Some say the ruling could cost the company $1.3 billion. So let's see: to raise the money to pay the damages, Exxon will...raise the price of gas. How is this a victory?
Exxon, in effort to clear their proposed settlement, has agreed to form a corporate English football team. The proposed footballers will challenge Manchester United, just purchased by US sports tycoon Malcolm Glazer who has been overcharging HIS customers for the last decade. The winner take all match will force one company to pay the other's settlement costs. The US-based Exxon has named their team OPEC United and has proposed two possible locations for home games... a new stadium/airport/residential development center at the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge or King Fahd Stadium, Saudi Arabia.
