Typo Hands

Maybe it's because I'm in the midst of editing my book so I'm more aware of typos than usual. But the one in this sign for Allstate Insurance -- snapped this morning while walking on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, CA -- jumped out at me and it just couldn't be more ironic that the "Good Hands" people didn't do a better job of ensuring that their own signage not only came out right but also checking it before slapping it up.
(If you can't make it out in the picture, the "e" is missing from "You're".)

Supercurbing

There's something ironic about the fact this car that jumped the curb and wedged itself around the parking meter is sporting a handicapped parking tag. But I don't want to say more about it for fear I'll be accused of making fun of a segment of society.
(The woman responsible for the unfortunate parking job saw me on the scene and demanded to know why I was snapping a picture of her car. I just pointed to the tableau and asked, "Wouldn't you?")
